You will need:
-Bottle- 1,2 or even 3 litres if your lungs can take it
-Tin foil
-Pin
-Pen
-Lighter
-Tape/Bluetac
-Dope
First things first...
Take your bottle, of which ever size you have chosen. I tend to use 2 litre bottles, but you can make portable ones from the half litre bottles(good for skool),then get your lighter and burn a hole in the bottle about 1 third or so from the bottom but avoid melting too much plastic. One tip i learnt from a good freind paul is to take a fag and put it to the bottle where you want the hole, then toke on the fag repetatively until the hottness has caused the bottle to melt, this way you can get a better hole. Then burn another hole for the carb (air-release) make sure it is at a decent place as you will need to be able to move your finger on and off the hole, so make it near the top. Take your pen and dismantle it so that youve just got the tube and stick it in the lowest hole on the bottle, make sure it is a very tight fit, get the pen at an angle so that it sticks down into the bottle, then secure it with bluetac or selotape etc.I recently made a 2 litre bong and used a marker with both ends cut off, this supplies a thicker passge for the smoke to travel through to the chamber.Now Fill the bottle with water (either very hot or very cold as both have good effects when using ;) to a point where the pen is in the water, but make sure not to fill the bottle too high, just enough so that the pen is in the water to a decent depth. Now to make a screen(gauze), take some tinfoil and poke holes in it using a pin then place the tinfoil over the end of the pen-make sure it fits nicely and covers the hole of the pen. I was in the kitchen the other day wen i stumbled upon something my parents use to scoop their coffee, it was a handle with a cup shape on the end, it had to be used, so i got it and cut the cup shaped end of, then angled the marker so that the cup ballanced level, i secured it with tape and put a gauze over the top, it was fuckin awesome. So look around your house and kitchen for items like that, youll be surprised what you can use.

Now to use...
Ok, youve spent the time to build the bong, now you just want to fire it up, well its simple, just take your dope and place it on the gauze, then make sure your finger or thumb is covering the carb(airhole) and burn the dope, while burning it you have to suck in as if theirs something in the bottle, as you do this you will see smoke comin throught the pen and into the water which causes the water to bubble, then the smoke will come out the water and cream up the chamber, when youre happy with the creaminess of the chamber, take your finger off the carb and suck in all that good smoke. enjoy.
*remember- always scrape your bongs for resin and unburnt dope.
*always look around your house for usefull materials
*dont be afraid to try different materials and different ideas
*using other liquids than water can work really well adding a nice taste.
